162.1The Host shall provide photography positions for at least fifty (50) photographers in the arena including a minimum of ten (10) positions at ice level. All photo positions must be approved by the IIHF and the LOC Photo Manager prior to the start of ticket sales.
162.2The IIHF holds the exclusive right to grant the permission to use strobe lights at the Championship.
162.3The right to photograph with strobe light equipment at the games must be approved by the IIHF. A maximum of two (2) sets of strobe lights may be installed at each venue and tests shall be run beforehand and the installation can only the approved if these tests meet the satisfaction of the photographer, Host Broadcaster, and the IIHF.
162.4The IIHF will send official photographers to each Championship, and they will be authorized to install a set of strobe lights. The Host shall reserve preferred exclusive areas on the ice level (incl. between the player benches) and in the spectator area to be used by the IIHF photographers.
