Timing of allocation

1.1The IIHF Annual Congress allocates the various IIHF Divisions World Championships (the “Championship” or “Championships”) every year according to IIHF Bylaws 5 to 10. The allocation takes place one (1) season prior to the respective Championship after a formal bidding procedure.
1.2If no IIHF MNA offers to host the Championship by the timeline set in Art. 1.1 of this Event Code, the Championship shall be allocated at the following IIHF Congress after the first application to host is received by the IIHF.
